Experience the Future of Dentistry

Male dentist talking to female dental patient

If there’s one thing Dr. Marshall cares about deeply (outside of his patients), it’s continuing education. As someone who previously taught cosmetic dentistry for years at the Las Vegas Institute, he understands firsthand how the dental field is constantly changing, evolving, and improving for the better. Below, you can read about the many technologies he’s added to his office in Concord and how they enhance your overall patient experience!

Intraoral Camera

While Dr. Marshall can view your teeth, gums, and other areas of your mouth quite easily, it’s understandable if you feel a bit alienated at first. To help you better understand the current state of your oral health, we utilize a small, handheld, intraoral camera that captures high resolution images of your mouth. These images are then displayed on a chairside monitor so you and Dr. Marshall can take a closer look together.

Digital X-Rays

Dental X-rays of the past would typically require darkrooms, harsh chemicals, and high levels of radiation just to gain a clearer understanding of the hidden areas of your teeth and jaw. Today, X-rays are all digital, which means there’s no long development times, no chemicals used, and up to 85% less radiation during scans. This creates a faster, more efficient, and most importantly, safer diagnostic process. Of course, we’ll always perform routine safety precautions ahead of your digital scans.

Digital Impression System

Capturing molds of your teeth to create crowns, oral appliances, and clear aligners would typically involve biting into gray impression material, something many patients find unpleasant. Instead, we’ve decided to digitize the process by including a digital impression system in our office! Rather than biting into putty, we simply scan your mouth using a small, handheld device that captures hundreds of images in a matter of minutes. These are then recompiled to create a 3D image, which can be used as a blueprint for crowns, appliances and more!

Soft Tissue Laser

Advancements in laser technology have made soft tissue lasers in the dental office increasingly common, and there’s no exception at Aesthetic Dental Center. With it, we can perform a wide variety of treatments with greater precision, accuracy, and of course, comfort for our patients during and after certain procedures. For example, soft tissue lasers make gum disease treatment much easier to complete and allow us to work more conservatively as we remove damaged tissue and keep what’s healthy and thriving.
