Nitrous Oxide Sedation
A relatively mild sedative, nitrous oxide (also known as “laughing gas”) is administered through a small mask that we place over your nose. After just a few minutes, you’ll feel content enough to easily complete your treatment. You’ll be conscious and aware of your surroundings, but your memories of your procedure might be fuzzy. Many patients prefer nitrous oxide because it has no lingering side effects; once you stop inhaling the gas, you should be good to drive yourself home or back to work within minutes.
